Inflection

Inflection is a hand-forged sculptural object that explores movement, balance, and material through the interaction of forged steel and copper. A sweeping steel arc establishes the primary structure, while hand-forged copper elements introduces warmth, texture, and material contrast within a restrained composition.

Forged using traditional blacksmithing techniques, the sculpture retains the physical evidence of its making. Hammered surfaces, forged transitions, and subtle variations in the metal celebrate the inherent character of the materials, ensuring that each piece is individually distinct.

The composition is defined by the relationship between curved and linear elements. Projecting steel forms punctuate the arc, creating rhythm and visual tension while directing the eye through the sculpture.
