Fire Shovel & Poker - set brings two essential hearth tools together in a single, considered form. Hand-forged from solid steel and finished with a hot wax patina, it reflects the direct relationship between utility, material, and making that defines Oak & Iron Studios.
The shovel and poker are shaped as complementary elements, giving the piece a natural balance between weight, leverage, and control. A forged hook extends its function, providing a simple means of tending, moving, and engaging with the fire. The length and proportions are deliberate, giving the tool both practical reach and a strong physical presence.
Hammer marks, subtle variations in the surface, and the darkened finish preserve the evidence of its making. Rather than concealing the process, the object allows heat, force, and handwork to remain visible in the finished steel.
Designed for the hearth but considered as an object in its own right, Fire Shovel & Poker - Hook transforms a familiar implement into a durable piece of functional metalwork.
